Privacy Policy for 67 Challenge

This Privacy Policy describes how the mobile game 67 Challenge (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use it.

The App is developed and published by Moy Nera (“the Developer”). If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at verzroad@gmail.com.

1. Summary

• The App uses your phone’s camera to track your arm movements. By default, camera frames are processed entirely on your device and are not uploaded, stored, or shared.
• If you turn on “Record challenges”, the App will save a video of your round to your device’s public Movies/67Speed folder. You can also opt in to recording microphone audio. Recordings stay on your device unless you choose to share them.
• The App stores an anonymous Player ID and your best score on Google Firebase so the leaderboard can be displayed.
• The App uses Google Analytics and Google AdMob to understand usage and show ads.
• The App offers an optional one-time “Remove Ads” in-app purchase processed by Google Play Billing. Payment is handled by Google; we do not see your card details.
• You can delete your leaderboard data at any time from the in-app Settings screen, and you can delete recordings from the in-app Videos screen.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Camera data

The App requests camera permission so it can detect your arm pose during gameplay using Google ML Kit’s on-device Pose Detection. Camera frames are processed locally on your device in real time. They are not transmitted to us or to any third party.

If you have “Record challenges” turned off (the default), camera frames exist only in memory while the camera is active and are discarded immediately afterwards.

If you have “Record challenges” turned on, the App will save the camera footage of your round to a video file on your device (see Section 2.2).

2.2 Optional video recording (“Record challenges”)

You can choose to record your gameplay by toggling “Record challenges” on the main menu. This is off by default. When it is on:

• The App temporarily writes a working copy of your round to its private cache, then composes a final 1080×1920 MP4 (with the timer, score, end-card and a small app watermark drawn into the video) into your device’s public Movies/67Speed folder.
• The temporary working copy is deleted automatically after the final video is saved (and on app start the App also sweeps any leftovers older than one hour).
• When you first turn the toggle on, the App asks whether you also want to include microphone audio. If you say yes, Android will ask for microphone permission. If you say no (or deny the system prompt), the recording is video-only.
• While the final video is being prepared, the App runs a short-lived foreground service and shows a low-priority “Saving challenge video” notification so the work can complete even if you switch apps.
• Recordings stay on your device. They are not uploaded to us or to any third party. You can play, share or delete them from the in-app Videos screen, or from your device’s Gallery / Files app. If you choose to share a recording, the destination app (e.g. TikTok, WhatsApp, Gmail) will handle it under its own privacy policy.

2.3 Player ID and score (Firebase Firestore)

When you first open the App, it generates a random 5-character Player ID (for example, A3F9K) stored locally on your device. If you set a new personal best, the App uploads the following to Google Firebase Firestore:

• Your anonymous Firebase Authentication user ID (not linked to any email, phone, or real-world identity)
• Your Player ID (e.g., Player A3F9K)
• Your best score
• A server timestamp of when the score was submitted

This data is used exclusively to display the public leaderboard inside the App.

2.4 Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)

The App uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns (for example, how many users start a game, finish a game, or open the leaderboard). Google Analytics may collect:

• An anonymous advertising identifier
• App version, device model, OS version, country, and language
• Event counts and session duration

This data is aggregated and is not used to identify individual users.

2.5 Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App displays interstitial ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process personal information such as an advertising identifier and device information to serve personalized or non-personalized ads, subject to your consent choice (see Section 4).

2.6 In-app purchases (Google Play Billing)

The App offers a single optional one-time purchase, “Remove Ads”, which permanently disables advertising inside the App on your account. Payment is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not see, collect, or store your payment card number, billing address, or other payment details.

After a purchase, the App receives a purchase token and order ID from Google Play, which it uses locally to:

• Acknowledge the purchase to Google (required by Google Play within 3 days, otherwise the purchase is automatically refunded).
• Remember on your device that you have removed ads, so the ad-free state persists across app launches.
• Re-check your purchase status with Google Play each time you reopen the App, so refunded purchases automatically restore the ad-free state.

The order ID and purchase token are not transmitted to us beyond the standard Google Play Billing flow, and are not linked to your real-world identity. If you delete the App’s data or reinstall the App, your “Remove Ads” entitlement is restored automatically the next time you open the App while signed into the same Google account that made the purchase.

If you wish to request a refund, you can do so directly through Google Play under Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history. Refunds are subject to Google’s refund policy.

3. What we do NOT collect

• We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any other contact information.
• We do not collect your real identity.
• We do not upload camera frames, images, video, or microphone audio to our servers or to any third party. Recordings created with the “Record challenges” feature stay on your device.
• We do not sell your personal information.

4. Your consent and choices (GDPR, CPRA, and other privacy laws)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, California, or certain other US states, the App will show a consent dialog the first time you open it, powered by Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP). You can choose whether to allow personalized ads and related data processing.

You can change your choice at any time by opening the App’s Settings screen and tapping Privacy options.

5. Deleting your data

You can delete your leaderboard entry at any time:

1. Open the App
2. Tap the gear icon (top-right of the main menu)
3. Tap Delete my data
4. Confirm

This permanently removes your score document from Firebase Firestore. Your Player ID stays on your device until you clear the App’s data or uninstall it.

To delete recordings created with the “Record challenges” feature, open the in-app Videos screen and tap the × next to a recording, or remove them from your device’s Gallery / Files app at Movies/67Speed.

6. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used the App, contact us and we will delete any associated data.

7. Data retention

Leaderboard entries are retained indefinitely so the leaderboard remains meaningful, until you delete them as described in Section 5. Analytics data is retained according to Google’s default retention periods.

Recordings created with the “Record challenges” feature are stored only on your device and are kept until you delete them, clear the App’s data, or uninstall the App.

8. Permissions

The App requests the following Android permissions only when needed:

• Camera — required for arm-pose tracking during gameplay (Section 2.1) and, if enabled, for the “Record challenges” feature (Section 2.2).
• Microphone — only requested if you opt into recording audio inside “Record challenges”. You can deny this and recordings will be video-only.
• Notifications (Android 13+) — used to display a low-priority “Saving challenge video” notification while a recording is being finalised in the background.
• Foreground service (data sync) — used to keep the post-recording compositing job alive long enough to finish, even if you switch apps.
• Storage write (Android 9 and below only) — needed to save recordings to your device’s public Movies/67Speed folder. On Android 10+ this is handled through scoped storage and no permission is required.
• Internet and Vibrate — used for ads, analytics, leaderboard sync, and haptic feedback.

9. Third-party services

The App relies on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Analytics) — firebase.google.com/support/privacy

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated through the App or on the page hosting this policy.
