Privacy Policy

Hagu 2026: World Cup Tracker (Android) · Effective date: June 11, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Hagu 2026: World Cup Tracker ("the app", "we") handles information when you use it on your Android device. The short version: the app itself does not collect, store, or share any personal data on our servers — we don't operate any servers. The only third parties involved are Google AdMob, which serves the advertisements that keep the app free, and Google Firebase Analytics, which gives us anonymous usage statistics.

2. Information stored on your device only

The app saves a small set of preferences locally on your device, and nowhere else:

This data never leaves your device, is not transmitted to us or anyone else, and is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its storage.

3. Match data

Scores, fixtures, standings, and bracket information are retrieved from publicly available FIFA data services. These requests contain standard technical information (such as your IP address) that any internet request includes, and are subject to FIFA's privacy policy. We do not add any identifiers to these requests.

4. Notifications

Match alerts (kick-off reminders, goals, results) are generated locally on your device by periodically checking public match data. No push-notification service, account, or registration is involved.

5. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app displays ads served by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. AdMob may collect and process data to serve and measure ads, including:

How Google uses this data is described in Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from ads.

You can control ad personalization on your device under Settings → Google → Ads, where you can reset or delete your Advertising ID and opt out of ads personalization.

6. Analytics (Google Firebase)

The app uses Google Firebase Analytics, a service of Google LLC, to understand how the app is used in aggregate — for example which screens are viewed and how often the app is opened — so we can improve it. Firebase Analytics may collect:

This data does not directly identify you, and we never see individual-level data — only aggregated statistics. Analytics data is retained by Google for a limited period (by default 14 months for user-level data). How Google processes this data is described in Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase Privacy and Security. Resetting or deleting your Advertising ID under Settings → Google → Ads limits identifier-based collection.

7. Legal bases and your rights (EEA/UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, advertising and analytics data is processed on the basis of consent (for personalized ads) or legitimate interest (for non-personalized ads and fraud prevention), as presented in the consent dialog where applicable. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Because we hold no personal data ourselves, requests concerning advertising data are best directed to Google via the links above — but you can always contact us and we will help.

8. California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

We do not sell or share personal information. Advertising data handled by Google may constitute "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law; you can opt out via your device's ad settings described in Section 5.

9. Children

The app is a general-audience sports app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app's advertising, please contact us.

10. Security

All network traffic between the app, FIFA data services, and Google uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Since your preferences are stored only on your device, they are protected by your device's own security.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, the updated version will be published at this address with a new effective date. Material changes will be reflected in an app update note.
